Equipotential surface is a region in space in which electrostatic potential at every point is same. There is a region in space in which electrostatic potential at every point is same. Equipotential surface are always perpendicular to the electric field lines. No two equipotential surface intersect each other. No work is done to move a charge in the equipotential surface. There is no change in the potential energy throughout the surface.
