Hall Effect

Hall voltage is the generation of the transverse voltage across the current carrying semi-conductor or conductor when external magnetic field is applied across it.

Inside the conductor or semi-conductor as the charge carriers (electron or holes) is flowing, because of the presence of the external magnetic field, a lorentz force is applies to the charge carriers inside the conductor, causing it to move in one side of the conductor, as the charge carriers starts accumulating on the one side of the conductor cause the generation of the voltage difference across the conductor or semiconductor, this generated voltage is called Hall Voltage.
