What is Photon Energy? The Definition and the Equations
The Definition,
Photon energy is the amount of energy that is carried by the single photon. The energy carried by the photon is directly proportional to the photon’s electromagnetic frequency and inversely proportional to the wavelength.
The Equation of photons energy is given by,
E = hf
Where,
E = Energy (J)
h = Planck’s constant = 6.61606957 * 10^-34 (m^2 kg s^-1)
f = frequency
