“No two-electron in an atom can have the same four quantum numbers.”
The Nobel Prize in Physics in the year 1945, was awarded to Wolfgang Pauli “for the discovery of the Exclusion Principle also called Pauli Principle”.
Pauli Exclusion principle was formulated in 1925 for electrons and later extended to all fermions (a particle with odd half-integer spin).
A fermion is a particle that follows the Fermi-Dirac statistics and has of odd half-integer spin.
The electron is a fermion with an electron spin of 1/2.
