Joule heating is the process in which electric current passes through a conductor and produces heat.
Joule’s law of heating was first published in the year 1840 by James Prescott Joule.
In Mathematical terms:
H = I^2 R T
H = Heat produces in the conductor.
I = Magnitude of current flows through the conductor.
R = Resistance of the conductor.
T = Time duration of electric current flows through the conductor.
