Pendulum System

The concept of the pendulum is first to come around in the year 1602, by Galileo Galilei. The pendulum clock was invented by Christiaan Huygens in 1656 and became the world’s standard timekeeper.

A pendulum system is a weight suspended from a pivot so that it can swing freely.

When it is released restoring force is acted on it which causes a massive bob to swing around its equilibrium position.
